TeeFury: Media Blitz

13 pennies earned

Today's $9 TeeFury offering, hand-drawn by Nofunk, has got to be some sort of treatise on the state of modern media. While it's hard to tell from this picture, the kid sitting atop the pile of TVs, computers and speakers is listening to headphones while reading a book.

How do kids these days handle the multi-media assault?

While we're not sure exactly what the shirt is trying to say, the hand-drawn style and overwhelming pile of "stuff" fits a chest canvas to a tee.

i really like this design...
however, i'm not a fan of white t-shirts in general, so i'll have to opt out this time. :/

What is the issue with white shirts? You're not alone in avoiding them. I can't keep most of my food off my shirts, but I still buy white tees -- so that can't be the issue...

haha, i guess the whole food issue is part of the problem...considering white shirts are the ONLY color that i spill food on [and of course, it's always spaghetti sauce, or something of that nature]...but other than that, i just can't put my finger on it. which is weird, because i wear every other color, from yellow to orange to black. **shrug**

Hey, you can always change the colors of the tee if you stain it... RIT is good, tye-dye, although reminiscent of the 60's and 80's is always a good choice, too.

Never tried RIT Dye...

Eden, such a sweetheart to link to RIT dye... Do they cut you a check, too? :)

Eden has always loved links, and links love her.

But back to this shirt at hand, This one really strikes me at a great design. The message is good, execution is good, but for me, I'm not big on the pastel palette. Ah well, I just saved $11 bucks of my all-to-scarce money by switching my personality to skeptical!

Unfortunately, no kickbacks from RIT. Adder's right, though, I love to link!

I dare you to make one a rickroll.

That's not how I (rick) roll...

Lol. Link away! As for the shirt, it's not a bad design but the colors are bland to me.

I think the message has something to do with the onslaught of media which can be overwhelming and yet even in the midst of it you can still enjoy the simplicity of reading a book, i.e. just block it all out even as it piles up around you.

As to why people don't care for certain colors, I don't know. As for cream or white, they don't really add anything for me and can make me look a bit washed out. But, again, chacun a son gout :D. I'll still buy a white shirt if it's a great design.

For most of us this would probably be pretty hypocritical. I mean I know I probably spend more time on the computer then I spend reading books, so as much as I agree with the sentiment, everyone knows me as the computer geek so wearing this would be pretty odd for me.
