Local Celebrity: 15% Savings Coupon

3 pennies earned

Alright, we need some help here. We understand that the Local Celebrity kids are using their proprietary-sounding Vintage Wash, which is "a special Local Celebrity marinade that our shirts are treated in that makes them extra soft and vintagy, just for your enjoyment," and that their t-shirts are developed by and produced exclusively for Local Celebrity, but how can they justify charging $25 for their many single-screen shirts?

We understand that they've some great retro-style shirts that either directly reflect the Eighties (Fresh Like That) and others that bring the Eighties to us (Obama is Wiggity Wack!), and they often use special inks or foils, and they are based in Los Angeles - which might have a little something to do with it, and they're enticing our readers with the 15% off coupon - 333444 - through October 31st, but this might be a pill that's too hard to swallow.

If you've ever worn/owned a Local Celebrity t-shirt, we'd love to hear your endorsement before they're able to part us with our hard-earned $21.25 plus shipping.

You can't compare Local Celebrity to other online-only companies like Busted, Snorg, or Threadless. They sell their shirts in the best stores around the world, so they can't undercut their retailers. Make sense? $21.25 is a bargain...

Being a loyal LC fan since 2003 and understanding why they do what they do...the price on their site isn't to make more money, it's a business move to treat their retailers right. Hence the coupons they give their online customers in every order...

Just look at their press page...

I've never thought twice about their prices, plus...the closest store to me that sells Local Celebrity charges $28.
